About the Role
We are looking for an experienced MuleSoft Developer to deliver secure, scalable integration solutions for a large federal government program. You will be responsible for designing and developing APIs, integrations, and automations using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and ensuring they meet performance, security, and compliance requirements.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
Build and maintain REST/SOAP APIs, orchestrations, and data transformations.
Develop reusable API assets and implement API-led connectivity patterns.
Collaborate with solution architects to align integrations with enterprise architecture.
Optimise and monitor API performance, scalability, and reliability.
Participate in code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD deployments.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation including design specs and deployment guides.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues as part of a support roster.
Required Skills & Experience
3+ years’ experience developing with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (Mule 4 preferred).
Strong knowledge of API-led architecture, RAML, and DataWeave transformations.
Experience integrating with REST, SOAP, SaaS apps, and on-premise systems.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and automated testing frameworks (MUnit).
Solid understanding of security (OAuth, JWT, TLS, API policies).
Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting using Anypoint Monitoring and Runtime Manager.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in an Agile team environment.
Desirable (Nice to Have)
MuleSoft Certified Developer – Level 1 (or higher).
Experience with event-driven architecture (Kafka, JMS).
Knowledge of AWS/Azure integration patterns.
Familiarity with Australian Government security standards (ASD ISM, Essential Eight).
Clearance
Baseline clearance required (NV1 preferred).
